| My own edited photo. |
life has a way of throwing you a curve ball and when it's already right in front of you, the best thing you can do, is to roll with it.
I wish I have photos to share as to how my 2013 has been liked. My time has been divided to Church ministry, studying for my Masters, getting acquainted with my new workmates and moving to a new house. You must understand one thing about me, don't like the camera-never did. Even my phone rarely contains photos of me. Mostly, the photos are of my siblings or of nature but NEVER ME. However, as I write this post, I come to regret that I did not take a lot of photos of this year. I should regret it but no--I'm never someone who dwells on what could have been's. It isn't healthy for my psyche. :-) Life is too precious to waste on regrets aye? So this time, I'm going to share some of the highlights of my 2013.
January 2013 - Corporate Prayer and Fasting of our church. I wasn't able to fully participate but I have had some hair raising revelations from God.
February 2013 - the hospital I applied to called me for an interview. I've been longing to practice my profession and I was jumping for joy when they called. The sad thing is, we were offered a training position without pay and that I was required to write a letter of intent stating my desire to work as a nurse trainee without pay until there's a vacancy. I declined.
March 2013 - I can't seem to remember anything remarkable for this month. During this time, I was still teaching English to Korean students and most of my students were already back in S. Korea. Oh yeah! I handed in my resignation letter at the school. I just then decided to pursue a career in Nursing which was not easy , if I might add.
April 2013 - I was hired as a medical historian for a US based company. I spent the whole April acclimatizing myself with the Workers' Compensation process.
May 2013 - Summer festivities. Mid-term elections. I always make sure that I exercise my right to vote. I went home to vote. As I write this, I have a cocktail of emotions when it comes to voting next elections.
June 2013 - Start of classes. Worked on my thesis title and I am still working on may first three chapters. shame! :-(. I signed up for a paid-to-blog site. My cousin's wedding which added to the pressure I am already experiencing.
July 2013 - I applied for a part-time instructor position at St. Augustine's School of Nursing (SASN) of which I am now part. :-)
August 2013 - I missed the Single's camp. ushering ministry sport's fest.

September 2013 -My first class in SASN - Advanced English.

November 2013 - second semester started and I had three additional classes at SASN.
December 2013 - I never had a rest day on a weekend. All Saturdays and Sundays were filled with celebrations, I could barely keep my eyes open.

That's how my year 2013 went. I know, I know, it's so dull, boring and routinary. Looking at it, now I understand why I am still single. lols. I am looking forward to 2014. Time for a change of lifestyle. Have to spice up my life or I'll grow old before I'm 30. :-)
Happy New Year everyone!
Yours,
Genie
